Arne Jensen has thirty years of experience working with programmes and projects improving environment management and sustainable development in East and South East Asia. Key qualifications include:

Integrated management of ecosystems and natural resources (incl. forestry, water and wetlands resources) and community-based management of landscapes;

Climate change adaptation integrated with resilience building, disaster risk reduction and ecosystem management

Biodiversity conservation, natural resources monitoring, e.g. design, establishment, review and scientific assessment of participatory management and monitoring approaches;

Governance issues in development (incl. tenure, indigenous peoples rights and participation)

Civil society organizations development and capacity-building, strengthening of environment sector institutions and local stakeholder governance.
He works extensively with project identifications, feasibility studies, appraisals and evaluations and impact assessments and as team-leader for interdisciplinary teams. Considerable ODA implementation experience as project director and chief technical advisor (e.g. for the EU, World Bank, UNDP, UNICEF, GEF, DANIDA, Conservation International, Wetlands International, WWF and Red Cross) with responsibility for quality-assurance, backstopping and contract administration. Has worked directly with governments, academe, private sector and civil society organizations at international and local levels.
